French Baritone Jerome Boutillier's most recent and future projects include Conte in Le Nozze di Figaro at Paris National Opera, solo concerts with Anna Netrebko at Brucknerhaus Linz, Enescu Festival in Bucharest and at Teatro Real in Madrid, his debuts as Escamillo in Carmen at the Bavarian State Opera, as Albert in Werther in Genoa, Fieramosca in Benvenuto Cellini at Semperoper Dresden, next to Athanaël in Thaïs in Saint-Etiene, Marquis de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites in Rouen, and Méphistophélès in Faust at Opéra Comique in Paris and at Opera de Lille.
Recent appearances include Nelusko in L’Africaine and Germont at Festival Seine Musicale in Paris and Opéra de Marseille, Escamillo at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Ben Saïd in Le Tribut de Zamora by Ch. Gounod in Saint-Etienne, Baron De Gondremarck in La Vie Parisienne in Montpellier and Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège. He recorded the last role, next to Hagen in Sigurd by Ernest Reyer, and Karnac in Le Roi d’Ys with Palazzetto Bru Zane in Budapest.
Jerome Boutillier recorded also the role of Philoctète in Déjanire by Saint-Saëns with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic orchestra and sang Marcello in La Bohème at Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse and the Duke in Roméo et Juliette at the Paris National Opera, and had a huge success as Hamlet Opéra de Saint-Etienne. He returned to Opéra de Saint-Etienne and Opéra Comique in Paris as Luddorf in La nonne sanglante by Gounod.
Important past engagements include Zurga in the Pearlfishers, Ralph in La Jolie Fille de Perth, Rodrigo in Don Carlo in Bordeaux and Marseille, Oreste in Iphigénie en Tauride in Rouen, Zurga and Albert in Werther in Montpellier, Valentine in Faust and Don Giovanni at the Festival Nuits Lyriques de Marmande, Parker in Les Éclairs by Philippe Hersant and Capulet in Roméo et Juliette at Opéra Comique, and Valentine at the Opéra de Québec in Canada.
Further appearances include productions and concert appearances with Opera Genève, Opéra de Versailles, Toulon, Opéra National de Lorraine, the Chorégies d'Orange Summer Festival in collaboration with conductors and Stage Directors, such as Christophe Rousset, Hervé Niquet, Louis Langree, Alexandre Bloch, Denis Podalydès, Lina Wertmüller, Antony Hermus, among others.
Originally trained as a pianist and vocal coach, Jérôme Boutillier is an ADAMI Revelation and a Prize Winner at the 2019 Paris Opera Competition at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées.
