The play begins in a student’s hostel: Seka, who is in charge there, is forcing Alexej to collect outstanding gambling debts. Murder is the ultimate, but legitimate method, Seka tells him, and sends his girlfriend along, to make sure that Alexej doesn’t cut and run. She falls in love with him… Alexej is scared of the murder he is sure he will have to commit and feels guilty because he has already accepted its inevitability. The point of view changes continually, creating a moral picture puzzle, a narrative game of love and guilt. Four excellent actors.
